NATURE, SEA, TASTE AND HISTORY

FISH - WINE - ALMOND - OLIVE
***Learn all about grape harvesting, wine and pick grapes with locals at a family winery.
** Wine, Olive Oils, cheeses, honeys, local wines, almonds and fresh fish.
** You will be staying inside the peninsula where the Mediterranean and the Aegean meet in a town overlooking the blue waters, mountains and windmills.
** In Cnidus, the opportunity to witness one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.

ITINERARY

Suggested Season: March - April or Last week of September - October

DAY 1: DALAMAN AIRPORT -DATÇA
Transfer from airport to Datça (road will take 2,5 hours). Small reception with drinks, meze and info on the schedule of the week. Explore the villages: Eski Datça (Old Town Datça), Emecik (stone houses and Sanctuary of Apollo) Reşadiye Village. In the evening, the dinner in a local seaside restaurant , a totally traditional tastes. At the dinner the fish will be served will be served in a local cooking and presentation style (Whole Fish Baked In Salt Crust).
DAY 2: GRAPE PICKING (Wine Harvest is only available in August)
We will spend the morning at the vineyard with the local farmers who will show us the techniques for cutting the grape’s clusters. Later we will join the harvest; spend a couple of hours picking grapes. Late breakfast in the vineyard. All the grapes are Organic and without any chemicals, and you will be able to pick & taste the grapes from the fields, taste the first juice and taste our flagships top-rated wines, fermented and aged in oak barrels. In the evening will head back to the Hotel where you will have a free evening to relax and enjoy some free time. (You can also spend your time for swimming in the most beautiful coves and the clearest waters of Datça Peninsula.
DAY 3: PALAMUTBÜKÜ AND CNIDUS
Drive to the Betçe area with the view of most pure and blue coves of Datça (road will take approximately 40 minutes – 23 km.). On the road photo stop on the top of Kurubük Cove with the unique scenery. Arrive in Palamutbükü, the longest cove of Datça and having lunch with local Aegean dishes with local famous Datça Almond. Free time for swimming until 16.00. (After the free time, facilities will be provided for shower and dressing). Drive to Cnidus at 16.30. Tour of ancient city which is dating back to 2000 BC: The Round Temple, the Dionysos Stoic and Temple, the Temple of Apollo, the Bolukrates Fountain and the theater. After the trip, you will be witness to one of the most beautiful sunsets in the World and wine-snacks will be served against the unique view of the Aegean and the Mediterranean kiss. (Those who wish to climb Deveboynu Lighthouse, can follow a 25-minute walk along the path to the hill with tour leader and watch the sunset from the end point of the peninsula). Drive back to Centre of Datça.
DAY 4: ALMOND HARVEST-OLİVE TASTİNG-OLİVE OİL AND ALMOND SOAP
Olive oil, olive, cheese and wine tastings – Try a range of different olive oils, olives, local goats’ cheese and wine. Taste freshly produced olive oil. Learn about how to preserve olives. Lunch at a local restaurant. Handmade soap workshop, learn to make your own handmade soap using olive oil and almond. Before the sunset drive to almond farmd and learn about almond harvest and how to crack almonds. You can also experience to collect your own almond!
DAY 5: DATÇA-DALAMAN AIRPORT
On this day you can spend your time by relaxing in the beautiful coves. Transfer to airport according to your flight time (road will take almost 2,5 hours).
